Calgary Folk Music Festival

Calgary Folk Music Festival

The Calgary Folk Music Festival is Calgary’s largest, most prominent annual gathering of original, independent artists in a creative, multi-faceted artistic program that combines some of the finest: roots, world music, country, alternative, blues, funk, dub, bluegrass, celtic, traditional (and more) artists from around the world.

From influential artists who began making music in the ‘60s and ‘70s to innovative artists whose music was created in the last decade, the festival is an ear-opening journey into the heart and soul of the roots and evolution of the music we like to call folk.

The festival site features a family area with interactive activities and entertainment, an international craft market, global culinary delights, a record tent and tree-shaded beer garden.
