Folk Festivals Canada is a consortium of Canada’s leading music festivals, dedicated to the advancement of folk and roots music across the country.

Each of the seven festivals makes a unique and invaluable contribution to its community and each is united in the principles of social and environmental responsibility.

Vancouver Island MusicFest

Since 1995, Vancouver Island MusicFest has brought an incredible blend of roots, folk, blues and world music to the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, BC.

The festival takes place in July each year and spans six stages over three days. It was recently named one of the Top 25 outdoor festivals in North America by Outside Magazine, in part due to its comprehensive “green festival” philosophy. In partnership with community organizations, MusicFest has developed programs that will lighten the festival’s footprint on the fairgrounds, the region and the planet.

Vancouver Island MusicFest is produced by the Comox Valley Folk Society, a not for profit, charitable organization with the goal of delivering a roots and world music festival each summer in the Comox Valley.
